In the first half of 2024, the Health Service of the Principality of Asturias (SESPA) awarded Diagximag, an Asturian subsidiary of the 4D Médica company belonging to the Substrate AI group, a contract valued at 1.4 million euros for the supply of 54 state-of-the-art ultrasound scanners for the Asturian public health system.
Last Monday, September 30, the final delivery of the ultrasound scanners was signed, marking a milestone in the modernization and digitalization of the health system in Asturias.
Among the most outstanding innovations of these Samsung AI-enabled ultrasound scanners is the Sonosync function, a pioneering technology that allows a radiologist to operate the ultrasound scanner remotely, controlling it from home as if he/she were physically present at the medical center.
This represents a breakthrough in telemedicine, facilitating fast and accurate diagnoses regardless of the specialist's location.
